The Job Connect program is available to ANYONE looking for work and all of our services are free of charge!

Employment Resource Centre: Our free resource centre is open Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm. We have a wide range of information available for assistance in your job search such as tips on writing resumes and cover letters, assistance with your interviewing skills and computers to research educational opportunities. The centre also has free internet access, faxing, and photocopying.

Employment Counsellors: Employment counsellors are available to youth and adults to discuss any employment search related issues such as:

• Exploring careers or education
• Identification of short and long term career and employment goals
• Mock interviews and interview preparation
• Connecting with other community agencies and programs to assist with any other non-employment related needs
• Supported job search, helping you to stay motivated and positive in your search for new work

Job Development: As part of the hiring process employers have to train new employees. Job Developers are available for clients who require a more intensive job search process. This can include such services as:

• Job Trials: Get a taste of a career to see if you are suited for the work and enjoy it!! This is a great way to help you decide which way to go with your career.
• Training Incentives: As an added incentive for employers, there is a possibility that we could subsidize a portion of your wages to offset the employer costs
• On-the-Job Training and Support: Once you start a new job it’s important to feel as though you have the training and support you need to succeed. Job Developers assist with development of training programs and ensure that all is going smoothly.
